Parrellelity

Parrellelity This world was meant for you and me. A prophecy that procured  In every lifetime. The sun and the moon aligned just so, The threads of the universe pulled and pulled, A glimmer of hope in the endless abyss; What could be if not this? But the stars got jealous Of heaven itself  So they lit a fire to turn it to hell. But what is torture for you and me? Intangibility. Us becoming, A parrellelity.   - Miranda L. Rain

Rain Do you know when it's going to rain? Sometimes you do, Sometimes you don't. You can try to stop it from invading your days But all that will do is let the clouds gather up,  And eventually you'll miss the sun's rays above. You might fear you ruined all that you love,  But don't worry the rain will come.  All you have to do is let it in.  So do you know when it's going to rain? Sometimes you do, Sometimes you don't. But when you feel it brewing, Don't hide my friend, Because the rain will purge the clouds overhead, And the rainbows will shine if you look for them. So dance in the drops, And jump in the puddles, Because the sun needs the rain and you need the sun.      - Miranda L. Original creation date - August 21st 2024

So loud you cannot wish them away, Especially not with your weary brain; When the questions get loud and the what ifs get scary, What is a fact that is so blaringly apparent, A fact that seems to be so simple and so right,  When it is so very late at night.  A fact that overpowers the worst of your thoughts,  And comforts you to finally get rest,  And get off the high, Of the night and the moon up in the sky, So I will ask you for a final time;  What do you think of when your high on nothing at all? And not the things that you know aren't true,  But the ...
I have no idea how to do this, and certainly no expectations for anyone to see this, but I have been really wanting to find a way to share my poetry somehow, just being able to know that maybe someone could see it, even if it's unlikely, would mean a lot to me. I don't know how good I am realistically at being a "poet" in fact calling myself a "poet" feels way too professional for someone of my skill level. I started writing a lot of poetry probably a bit over a year ago, although some of my first poems were really bad, but seeing myself improve has been really cool. I just turned 17 and am going to be a senior in high school this year, I feel like I don't get to share my thoughts a lot, and poetry was a really cool way to express myself, which is also why I wanted to find a way to share it, so I could actually express those feeling to the world, even if it's just an empty vacuum. I have a backlog of poems, because like I said, I've been writing...
