Parrellelity
Parrellelity
This world was meant for you and me.
A prophecy that procured
In every lifetime.
The sun and the moon aligned just so,
The threads of the universe pulled and pulled,
A glimmer of hope in the endless abyss;
What could be if not this?
But the stars got jealous
Of heaven itself
So they lit a fire to turn it to hell.
But what is torture for you and me?
Intangibility.
Us becoming,
A parrellelity.

I told you we would be talking about yearning todayyyy. This poem was definitely inspired by the idea of star-crossed lovers, or even just that feeling that you and someone are meant to be, but just for some reason can't be together. I know EXACTLY who this poem is about, and every "love" or anything remotely adjacent to "love" poems are about this same person. I have never been in a relationship or even done anything romantic with anyone ever, thus all the yearning. It's complicated with the person who inspired this poem. Hard for it not to be when I've been pining for over a year. Even though this poem is pretty old, I still love it. I hope you (if anyone besides me ever stumbles upon this) like it to :). Another poem about love tomorrow, but this one is a bit different, you'll see. Byeeeee
