Rain
Rain
Do you know when it's going to rain?
Sometimes you do,
Sometimes you don't.
You can try to stop it from invading your days
But all that will do is let the clouds gather up,
And eventually you'll miss the sun's rays above.
You might fear you ruined all that you love,
But don't worry the rain will come.
All you have to do is let it in.
So do you know when it's going to rain?
Sometimes you do,
Sometimes you don't.
But when you feel it brewing,
Don't hide my friend,
Because the rain will purge the clouds overhead,
And the rainbows will shine if you look for them.
So dance in the drops,
And jump in the puddles,
Because the sun needs the rain and you need the sun.

I wrote this while roller skating in my driveway, I can very distinctly remember writing it. I was really proud of it when I first wrote it, but my fondness for it has definitely shrunk. It's probably one of my least favorites, and I considered not even posting it, but I figured someone might like it. Also, by posting ALL of my poems on here I can catalog them, and see my progress, and when I wrote them and all that fun stuff. I know I have some poems I really like, but some of the first few aren't my favorites, which makes sense since they are pretty old. I'm trying to only post once a day, so I don't rush through my backlog, since as you can see from the jump between OG creation dates, I'm not super consistent with writing them. Sometimes I'll write a bunch in a week, or even a day, if I'm really inspired and sometimes, I won't write any for a month, it all depends on how I feel and if I'm inspired. I have some "love" poems coming up, although they are more yearning poems. I'll talk more about that tomorrow though. Byeeeee.
